Philadelphia (Not) Freedom
I was summoned to a last-minute business trip to Philadelphia so I have a bit of catching up to do.
Things that have hampered my full enjoyment of baseball the last 48 hours:
- Traffic on 128
- Need for sleep (and the lack thereof)
- Work
I actually turned down tickets to tonight’s game because I have been run so ragged. I’ll keep my chin up, stay within myself, and always remember that it’s a marathon not a sprint.

Are you sure you didn't make it? I could have sworn I saw you at Fenway.

Yeah Empy. I could have sworn I saw photographic proof you were at Fenway. Is there a clone or twin you haven't told us about? It looked like you had a great time except for the whole not being able to hold your beer thing.

Well, now I know what you guys were talking about. Apparently there's an epic retelling of Tuesday night's game in a members-only thread on the Royal Rooters message board.
I've been given permission to reproduce the thread here. (Something I hopefully won't regret.)
