top 2nd: Ryan Shealey double past diving Mike Lowell. Driven in by Joey Gathright.
top 3rd: Esteban German double past Lowell’s backhand.

bottom 4th: Pedroia’s first ML homer into the Monster seats. Unlike when Kevin Youkilis homered at his first at bat, the dugout congratulated Pedroia right away. The way the team is now, any positive event must be recogized.

Doug Mirabelli RBI to tie. DeJesus throw gunned out Lowell at home to end the inning.
top 5th: Blanco leadoff bloop single in between three Red Sox players.

Youkilis sacrifice fly to tie the game.
bottom 9th: Loretta got caught up between first and second with ball in the dirt.
Royals relay went into center field, but Loretta paused and was almost out at first.
top 10th: Timlin got out of the jam.
bottom 10th: Youkilis nice slide away from tag for a leadoff double
Varitek pinch hit for Ken Huckaby
bottom 11th: Lowell leadoff single, bunted over by Crisp.
Cora grounded into double play and the pitcher Nelson seemed to be injured on the play.
top 12th: Three-run homer by Jeff Keppinger, his first hit of the season
