Sea Dogs in Eastern League Championship Series
Congratulations to the Portland Sea Dogs! The Red Sox double-A affiliates beat the Trenton Thunder tonight for the right to play in the Eastern League Championship Series. The Thunder is the double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, coincidentally enough. The Sea Dogs clinched their third Northern Division title, and like their previous titles it required a win in the fifth game at Hadlock Field. The Southern Division Akron Aeros will be the Sea Dogs’ opponents in the series, which will begin on September 13th.
